I walk the land- a sacred journey throughout which I feel a deep bond with the land wights, the energy present in all things. The innermost secrets of the spirit are revealed to me during my journey. I attempt to capture nature as I see it; the heart and soul of the land. I prefer a somewhat organic approach, allowing the original photographs to remain untouched and unaltered. These photographs reflect the way in which I view the world, a magical place where faeries exist and magic can be found in every nook and cranny. I also create art in the natural environment, crafting spirals onto moss, or weaving dream catchers into the branches of trees. The photographs become all that remains of the art, a visual record of my time spent closely connected to the Earth. I curl up inside great ancient trees in the English countryside, or on the sandy seashore whilst the waves lap over me, lulling me into a receptive state of being united with the elements. This is my inspiration.. faerytales and mythology, a sacred inner journey, a physical journey across the landscape, a wish to share the beauty and magic of the world with others. An attempt to preserve a small moment in time, frozen forever for others to see. A desire to connect the threads of fate one by one until we are all connected in the bright-light web of life.
